Scout Finch: The narrator and the protagonist of the novel, Scout is the only daughter of Atticus Finch and sister of Jem (Jeremy Finch). The novel is told by Scout's point of view. Scout with her brother often disturb to Boo Redley. She often fights with her companions in school Cecil Jacobs.
Atticus Finch: Atticus is the father of the narrator, Scout Finch. Atticus has taken a case of a negro man, Tom Robinson. Through Atticus's characteristic, it is expressed that morality, compassion, love and empathy for all. Atticus is a widow who has lost his wife few years ago when Scout was four years old and Jem was ten.
Jem Finch: Jem or Jeremy Finch is the brother of Scout. Jeremy is 6 years older than Scout. Jeremy is an intelligent and self controlled boy. Jem has often taken back to Scout from the fight in school with Cecil Jacobs. In a time, Jem with his sister and Dil Harris, went to the house of Boo Redley, a suspected man by them.
Dill Harris: Dill Harris was the friend of Scout and Jeremy Finch. He comes to Scout and Jeremy when summer vacation comes. He stays with Scout and Jem, and wonder whole day to disturb Boo Redley. They do most disturbing works the whole day and night.
Arthur "Boo" Redley: Redley is the suspected man from the point of view of Scout, Jem, and Dill. At the end of the novel, Boo Redley gave his real love for Scout and Jem. He saves them from an unknown attack. Actually, Boo Redley was sign of a compassionate and empathetic man.
Calpurnia: Calpurnia is shortly called as "Cal" in the novel by Atticus and his children. Cal is the kitchen holder of Atticus. She is otften regarded as the mother character of Scout and Jem after dying Atticus's wife or Jem's mother. In a section of the novel, Cal has told forecefully to Scout about the respect of her when Walter Cunnigham comes to their for an eating. Cal often gets supports from Atticus.
Bob Ewell: Mr. Bob Ewell is the father of Mayella Ewell, and he is one of antagonists of the novel. Bob has designs to make a fatal for Tom Robinson.
Mayella Ewell: Miss Ewell is regarded as the victim of Tom Robinson, and it's argued that she is raped by Tom Robinson in the evening of 21st November, 1934. She is the daughter of Bob Ewell. In the time of Judgement, she has cried and tried to flee from the court.
Tom Robinson: Tom is known as the rapist of Mayella Ewell. Tom is a negro man, who was an innocent. Unknowingly, he has gone to the fatal of Mayella and her father Bob Ewell. Actually, he has not done any bad work such as to rape a woman.
Link Deas: Deas is the employee of Tom Robinson.
Mrs. Henry Lafayette Dubose: An older woman who lives near the house of Finch family. Jem knows that Mrs. Dubose is the bad woman. When Atticus comes from court, he often talks with Mrs. Dubose.
Nathan Redley: Nathan is the older brother of Boo Redley. Nathan is the bad man.
Heck Tate: Tate is the dedicated man who wanted to try to protect innocent men from dangers.
Mr. Underwood: Underwood was the local publisher of Newspaper in Maycomb, Alabama.
Miss Maudie Atkinson: Atkinson is an another neighbour of Finch family. She is younger than Atticus Finch. She was a good woman, and she has a good friendship with Atticus.
Aunt Alexandra: Atticus's sister, a strong controlled woman in her family. She was a Southern lady.
Mr. Dolphus Raymond: Raymond was a white man who married to a black woman, and lives with them. He wants to live with the black community.
Mr. Walter Cunningham: A poor farmer. He comes to Atticus that he should prevent Tom Robinson from death. After Scout's non-violent protest exposes then he gets the real wisdom and compassion.
Walter Cunningham: Walter is the son of Mr. Cunningham. In a mid-day time, he has come to Atticus's home to make a lunch.
Miss Caroline: She was the teacher of Scout Finch, in her schol.
