Rabindranath Tagore and William Shakespeare's Creativity in Literature

Rabindranath Tagore and William Shakespeare with their best literary Contribution:

When we are going to compare between Rabindranath Tagore and William Shakespeare then we must know about their age or period when they belonged. If we look on William Shakespeare then he was from 1564 to 1616, this was the Elizabethan Age in England. On the other hand, Rabindranath Tagore was from 1861 to 1941, he belongs in the Victorian and Modernist era.

In some of the articles, we listened that Rabidranth has studied on the works of Shakespeare and his artistic style. The contribution of Shakespeare in literature was great in all of the time. On the other hand, Rabindranath Tagore has come to the world a few hundreds years later of Shakespeare.

Shakespeare wrote 37 plays, almost all the plays are famous. His most famous plays includes "Macbeth", "Hamlet", "Romeo Juliet", "The Merchant of Venice" and others. He has written 154 sonnets with his own rhyming style ABAB CDCD EFEF GG, which is known Shakespearean sonnet, and he wrote some of the narrative poem and prose.

On the other hand, Rabindranath Tagore gave us a lot of writing including dramas, poems, and novels. He has written a lot of songs and verses writing like "Song Offerings" (translated in English) in bengali, that's called in bengali "gitanjali." For this writing, he has own the nobel prize in literature. In the contemporary time, Rabindranath becomes the idol all over the world.

Rabindranath wrote 50 plays including notable works like Chitrangada, Raja, and Dak Ghar (The Post Office), and 12 novels, including Ghare-Baire (The Home and the World), Gora, and Chaturanga. Tagore was a prolific poet, having written more than 2,000 poems. His poetry collections include Gitanjali (Song Offerings), Sonar Tori (The Golden Boat), and Balaka (The Flight of Cranes).

Tagore also took up painting later in life, producing around 3,000 artworks, which include drawings, sketches, and paintings. Additionally, he writes  2,230 songs (Rabindra Sangeet),  95 short stories,  and thousands of letters, which are collected in various volumes.

William Shakespeare was the master and philosopher of English drama. "His play "Macbeth" is one of the most famous play, and it's successful artistically," T.S. Eliot says. Tagore has multiple talent, he was dramatist, poet, novelist, painter, letter writer, nationalist and a public figure. The world deeply know all the writings of Rabindranath Tagore and William Shakespeare.

In a way, we did not get Shakespeare in the public field like to democratic section to help protest or anything. In contrast, Tagore has helped and shows love for his country, we may know by reading his poems like  "Where the Mind is Without Fear",  "The Golden Boat",  "Bharoto Bhagyo Bidhata",  "Freedom" and others.

Although Shakespeare is now yet most famous to the world more than Rabindranth Tagore. We have seen Tagore was alive 80 years, and Shakespreare was 52 years which was too little age than Tagore. Being famous, if Shakespeare was alive more years then it might be that he'd be more famous.

Tagore was too fast to write any famous piece of writing, and in contrast Shakespeare was too slow to make a new famous piece. The most famous writing in sonnet of Shakespeare is "Shall I Compare thee to Summer's Day." Although Tagore has a lot greatest poems as Shakespeare.

If we see the creativity both Tagore and shakespeare are not explainable. Their writing is helping us today to know human psychology and nature. The God gifted two men are so talented in their field.
